It was tough to pay attention to Nick Grouf as a video stream of bone-crushing skateboard wipeouts played about two feet from my face. Thankfully he soon switched to a surfing channel, which showed a film that followed a group of female surfers travelling across the South Pacific. It was all sunsets and bikinis and turquoise waves. Again, it was tough to pay attention.
