Dollar’s Demise Slow Amid Fed Uncertainty

A silent foreign exchange (forex) market can be the most deadly and this past week is no exception. Half-hearted interest from the remaining members on the street sees the mighty U.S. dollar ending this week low against a basket of major currencies. Apathy is dangerous and it tends to lead to a false sense of security. Suddenly, with liquidity at a premium, investors are paying away hard earned profits in a market where prices are squeezed for little reason ? mostly positional. This is only week one of the European shutdown due to the annual holiday season, and already due to market boredom, traders may find week two could be equally insufferable.
