Markets and pundits were initially confused after the Supreme Court decided to uphold Obamacare. The individual mandate was considered constitutional, but the Court limited Medicaid expansion, limiting the federal government?s power to terminate states? funding. In the face of it, this should be negative for major health insurance companies, as it will drive more customers at lower margins, and positive for Medicaid companies.
