Sources confirm cloud storage provider Box.net did in fact rebuff a buyout offer earlier this year. Contrary to VentureBeat reports, the bid was “notably higher” than its recent $550 million valuation and was made prior to Box.net’s latest funding round, which brought total funding to well over $100 million.
