A passenger jet crash landed in northern Russia, killing 44 on Tuesday morning, just minutes after midnight. Russia’s EMERCOM, the Emergency Situations Ministry, said Tuesday that the plane went down at 00:04 Tuesday near an airport in Petrozavodsk. Fifteen rescue workers, 9 psychologists and five military specialists were sent to the site.
