GM Profit Triples On One-Time Gains

General Motors reported its fifth-straight quarterly profit Thursday morning, and by far its biggest since emerging from bankruptcy in 2009, booking $3.2 billion in net income on $36.2 billion in revenue. Both figures topped estimates and were well above year-ago levels.
