Don’t Worry About Hurricane Sandy, November Jobs Number To Hit 145k, Nomura Says

With political uncertainty still unresolved after the Presidential election and the fiscal cliff negotiations apparently stalled, investors nervously look to Friday?s jobs report for some direction.  Confused by the effect of Hurricane Sandy, the range for analysts? forecasts is unusually large for the November nonfarm payrolls number, going as low as 15,000 and averaging 90,000.  Sitting atop that range is Nomura, upping the ante and calling for 145,000 net new jobs in November with the unemployment rate unchanged at 7.9%.
