What’s More Important: A Wildly Original Business Model–or Smart Marketing?

A few years back, I ran a national business plan competition for business school and university students for a major media company. I was struck by the intense effort the entrants put into coming up with a business model that was not only brand new but could also become profitable. (As anyone who’s attempted this knows, it’s easier said than done!)
